Job Role: Associate Platform Systems Admin
Job Summary :
Basic fundamental knowledge of Windows OS and Unix (any flavors Linux/AIX/Solaris)
Experience in administration of Windows based application like Hyperion, Business Objects, Sharepoint, WSUS or other enterprise class applications
Knowledge of IIS, Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere application server/WebLogic
Fundamental understanding of the following concepts: HTML, J2EE, Secure Sockets Layers, Load Balancing, Application / JVM Tuning, TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, firewalls, Knowledge on Java & Web Application run time environment
Assist Application teams with day to day operational tasks
Help team to run Proof of Concept and Testing of new technologies
Meet the SLAs defined for the service areas and keep the systems up and running for 24/7/365 with optimal performance
Position Attributes
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience.
Familiarity with ITIL process like Incident/Change/Problem/Release Management is a plus
Exposure to working with US customers
The position requires the person to work in 24x7 shift environment and Participate in rotational On-call Support.
