Essential Responsibilities :
• Duties include (but are not limited to): -Working closely with software and systems teams spread acorss different locations in understanding requirements. -Designing and Implementing software for Install Base products and for new products. -Interacting with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms. -Designing and building strong testing infrastructure. -Leveraging DFR for software, Agile and Lean software development methodologies to drive reliability upstream into the product development life cycle. Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables. 5.Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements :
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field 
• 0-2 Years experience in developing software for complex systems or computerized products 
• Software development life cycle and automated testing experience.
• Experience in object oriented analysis and design methodology 
• Experience in design and development of software using programming languages like Core Java and C++. 
• Working knowledge in configuration management tools such as ClearCase.

Desired Characteristics :
• Knowledge of Quality processes. 
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix. 
• Very Strong understanding of JAVA and/or C++, OOP concepts. 
• Good knowledge of data structures and internals of operating systems
